Natalie evans (she/her)
Co–founder / director

Natalie Evans is a highly experienced event manager, presenter, and youth worker with a passion for promoting equality and justice. With over 10 years of event management experience, Natalie has successfully organised and hosted events of all sizes, from small workshops to large conferences with hundreds of attendees. As well as being a dedicated youth worker for nearly 12 years, she Is commitment to empowering young people.

Today, Natalie serves as the co-founder and Director of Operations for Everyday Racism. In this role, she leverages her expertise in event management, youth work, and leadership to create accessible learning opportunities and empower individuals to make a difference in their communities. Through her work, Natalie is dedicated to creating a more equitable and just society.

Naomi evans (she/they)
Co–founder / director

Naomi Evans is an experienced educator with over 18 years of experience teaching English and Drama in UK state schools. Her career has included senior leadership, Head of Department, and Advanced Skills Teacher roles, and she has made significant contributions to curriculum development and teacher training. Today, Naomi serves as the co-founder and Director of Education for Everyday Racism.

Leveraging her extensive educational background, she crafts accessible and impactful learning opportunities addressing race and identity. Naomi’s expertise in curriculum development and teacher training is pivotal in creating specific anti-racism courses. Committed to building a more equitable society, her leadership and dedication to anti-racism continue to inspire positive change in the field of education.

Francesca Liparoti (she/her)
Executive Assistant

Francesca is the Executive Assistant at Everyday Racism, bringing a strong background in executive administration and project management to support the organisation’s work.

She is also a registered nutritional therapist, with a passion for inspiring simple, sustainable health changes that help people feel their best. Deeply committed to anti-racism, Francesca is proud to support the organisation’s mission and values.

Outside of work, she enjoys lifting weights, eating chocolate brownies, and long beach walks in her hometown of Margate, UK.

jOY mBAWAKE (she/her)
LEAD FACILITATOR

Joy Mbakwe is an educator, speaker and consultant, using courageous conversations as a catalyst for cultural shifts. She began her career as a Teaching Assistant, quickly discovering her passion for transforming learning environments. With a PGCE in English and Drama from UCL, Joy rose to Head of English and then Assistant Headteacher within five years, leading on community and culture. Her work spans curriculum redesign, media contributions and brand collaborations. Now consulting across schools and organisations, Joy brings honesty, insight and bold ambition to every space committed to growth and impact.

Alex Johl (he/him)
Lead Facilitator

Alex is a culture change professional who has built a career in creating a sense of belonging within Higher Education. Currently working as Head of Equality Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Birmingham, Alex uses innovative practices to create long term behavioural change in large organisations – seeing his role to activate people, not author policies. He is a qualified coach and mentor, regularly delivers talks on authenticity and values-led leadership, and designs and delivers award-winning leadership programmes.

Energised by bringing communities together and finding ways to engage local people with large organisations.

Shaun Flores (He/Him)
Lead Facilitator

Shaun Flores is a mental health advocate, TEDx speaker, and writer dedicated to shattering the stigma surrounding neurodiversity and masculinity. Diagnosed with OCD and ADHD following a severe mental health crisis, Shaun channeled his recovery into a mission to improve mental health outcomes for marginalized communities. He holds an MA in Race, Media & Social Justice, giving him a unique academic and lived perspective on the intersection of mental health and systemic inequality. Shaun works with major organizations, including the NHS and global corporations, to facilitate honest, transformative conversations about resilience, identity, and the power of vulnerability.
