📚 Our Work and Campaign: We are sisters, Naomi who does this work alongside her own full time work, raising children and looking after family and Natalie who had to take a huge risk quitting her job to do this full time along side, family commitments and paying bills. Despite this we strive to make a difference. Our focus this year is the campaign 'To make racial literacy compulsory in schools' and we need your help to this! We are demanding action from the government to ensure teachers are given the highest standards of training in this area.

We strongly believe racial literacy training should be a statutory part of initial teacher training programmes and the mandatory safeguarding training all teachers must undertake.

Hello from Naomi and Natalie, the co-founders of Everyday racism. Welcome to our Patreon page! We are so pleased you have joined us.

🛤️ Our Journey: In May 2020 a video of Natalie went viral on twitter when she confronted two men racially abusing a ticket conductor. It was then that we decided to set up an anti-racism platform called @everydayracism_. Here we create educational resources and content for people who want to be anti-racist.

We are committed to empowering people to make a difference in the world. We are speakers, writers and activists who believe that education and action is the fundamental route to stopping social injustice. We have currently written two books 'The Mixed Race Experience' (Penguin July 2022) and the children's book 'Everyday Action, Everyday Change' (Hachette 2023).
